How much does web hosting cost per month?
$1 a month for Starter (1 site, 10 GB SSD), $5 for Business (up to 5 sites, daily backups, SSH and Git) and $10 for Enterprise (up to 10 sites with dedicated resources). Every plan renews at the price you signed up at.
What's the cheapest way to host a basic website?
The $1 Starter plan: one site, 10 GB SSD storage, free SSL and unlimited email accounts, on the Enhance panel. It renews at $1.
Can I host a Node.js app?
Yes. Each site runs PHP or Node.js in its own container, with Node 16 to 20 available. SSH and Git access come with Business and Enterprise.
What does 'isolated' mean?
Each site runs in its own container with its own resources. Another customer's traffic spike or compromised plugin can't slow down or reach your site.
Do you migrate existing sites for free?
Yes. We move files, databases, email accounts and SSL certificates to Darkless and schedule the DNS cutover with you.
Can I stage changes before going live?
On Business and Enterprise plans you can clone a site to a staging domain, test, then push to production from the Enhance panel.
Which PHP and Node.js versions are supported?
PHP 5.6 through 8.4 and Node.js 16 through 20, selectable per site in the panel.
Is email included?
Yes. Every plan includes mailboxes with spam filtering, Roundcube webmail, aliases, forwarders and autoresponders, plus DNS management.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, up or down, from billing. Sites and data stay where they are.
What does Priority support mean?
Priority tickets go to the top of the queue and to senior staff first. Useful for business sites where downtime costs money.
How does the domain credit work?
On annual Business and Enterprise plans we add a $15 credit to your account so you can register a domain at the registrar of your choice. We don't lock you into a registrar with high renewals.
What is the refund policy?
48 hours from placing an order, per our Terms of Service. It doesn't apply to recurring invoices.
